In popular slang it is called HangDrum or just Hang. Actually it has many names: Handpan, Pantam, Hangdrum, Soundscolpture.
It is an instrument that was developed from the research of two Swiss artisans that already built and tuned Steel Drums before the new millenium.
Thanks to Felix Rohener and Sabrina Sharer, today we have this magnificent instrument that passed on from shelves to the streets, until it appeared all around the world.
Today we find it slightly modified: in terms of construction techniques and purposes, each crafter or maker, like every artisan, gives it their own essence within the creation.
Like a wave, like sound, the Handpan is an instrument in constant evolution, we are just at the beginning.
