Giulio Quaranta

Giulio Quaranta is a percussionist, pianist, handpan player, and acoustic engineer. He began studying percussion instruments at the age of 6 at the Trasimeno Music School in the province of Perugia, with a technical and theoretical approach linked to classical music and orchestral concerts. He studied complementary piano for 3 years before moving on to more melodic instruments such as xylophone, marimba, and vibraphone. At 16, he attended the Briccialdi Conservatory in Terni, and at 18, the Musical Academy of Perugia with maestro Leonardo Ramadori. In the following years, he set aside his musical studies and decided to pursue a new university path, but music continued to accompany him. At the age of 23, he found himself in Granada (Andalusia), where he deepened his knowledge of flamenco cajón and discovered the handpan, which allowed him to synthesize rhythm, harmony, and melody studies into a single instrument. Today, Giulio is 27 years old, holds a degree in Civil Engineering - Architecture with a master's thesis in Acoustics. He has an active project of Guitar & Handpan Duo.
